No idea what that means? Let me explain.
WWOOF is a wonderful organization for people who have organic knowledge to offer, and for those wanting to learn about organic growing, sustainable farming, and rural life.
It stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms - and we are hosts for up to three workers at a time. They exchange their helping hands and good attitudes 4-6 hours per day for accommodation and food and our patients to help them learn what we do here and why.
Last year we hosted 7 ( 1 to 3 at a time) from all over the world and had more fun than anyone would expect. It was our first year, and I had no idea what to expect, but what I got was an amazing sense of community. These lovely humans, came to our farm and loved it as we did, cared for it as we did, took direction well, got me moving in the morning, inspired me to do just a little bit more, and to create wonderful meals for them to reward their never-tiring hard work. It was magic, and I'll happily do it over and over again. We've secured two spots for early summer already and are looking for at least 4 more, so we'll be checking out their website . If you'd like to become a host or worker, you should check it out, too.
